The Fort Mojave Indian Tribe Planning Department serves as a community development entity that represents the interests of the tribe for the purpose of contributing to the sustainability of a strong and viable community through the use of codes and ordinances as defined by the Tribal Council and the Planning Department.

The General Land Use Plan establishes the overall character, extent and location of various land uses and serves as a guide to communicate the policy of the Tribal Council to community members, the business community, developers and others involved in the development of The Fort Mojave Indian Tribe. In addition, the General Land Use Plan serves as a guide to the Tribal Council in its decisions concerning future development.
